Solutions to Your Host Connectivity Needs
Alebra's Brixton and EXPRESS product lines address your needs for mainframe and AS/400 connectivity solutions. Alebra's latest version of the Brixton product suite, Release 5.0.1, is supported on many of the latest versions of Unix and Linux, including Solaris 10, Linux (Red Hat, SUSE distributions, among others) and AIX 5.3. Concentrate on what you do best (application development) and let us worry about mainframe connectivity. As you develop new cooperative, networked applications, the issue of getting at mainframe data will often arise. Rather than developing your own solution, use Alebra's SNA products to handle all issues related to mainframe connectivity. Incorporate new applications that require mainframe access without re-engineering your network. Often applications designed by third parties best meet your business needs. But your business may require that these applications retrieve data from IBM host systems. You can use Alebra's SNA products to provide that link, without any need to re-engineer your network or engage in time-consuming upgrades such as converting your mainframe to TCP/IP.
EXPRESS provides state-of-the-art implementations of all the capabilities needed for mainframe and midrange communications. SNA Server - Provides SNA connectivity to IBM mainframes and midrange systems such as the AS/400, S/36 and S/38 over Token Ring, Ethernet, SDLC, and QLLC. 3270 & 5250 Terminal Emulation Client - Provides 3270 terminal and printer emulation for a wide variety of UNIX® platforms. Includes support for TN3270(E), TN5250, IND$FILE file transfer and 3287 printing. X.25 - Enables UNIX systems to communicate over Packet Switched Data Networks (PSDN). Includes support for X.3, X.28 and X.29, as well as an elegantly designed API (XLI) to provide application access to the core X.25 protocol. Maintain your SNA connectivity between Sun SPARC® systems and IBM mainframes and AS/400s. Even though Sun has discontinued sales of its SunLink™ products (the Sun OEM version of this Alebra product line), Alebra offers a wide variety of options and financial incentives to SunLink customers who need this SNA capability. These include an option for low cost transfer of current SunLink sessions to Brixton in return for a commitment to purchase Alebra Support. PU2.1 SNA Server (SunLink SNA3270 Gateway) - The Brixton PU2.1 SNA Server is equivalent to the SunLink SNA3270 Gateway. It provides traditional and peer-to-peer SNA communications and networking support for UNIX® systems. API Toolkit (SunLink SNA/PTP - Peer to Peer) - The Brixton LU6.2 API Toolkit, like SunLink SNA/PTP, offers a set of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) to support the development and deployment of customized transaction programs using IBM's Advanced Program-to-Program Communication (APPC) architecture. LU0 Toolkit (SunLink LU0) - The Brixton LU0 API Toolkit is a software product equivalent to SunLink LU0 which supports development of customized UNIX®-based application programs that interact with IBM® host-based applications. Open Client (SunLink Client3270 - SunLink CG3270) - The Brixton 3270 Open Client (equivalent to SunLink Client3270) is a software product that provides IBM® 3270 display terminal and printer emulation, enabling Unix®-based workstations to gain access to IBM® 3270 host-based applications. (RJE) Client (SunLink SNA3770/RJE) - The Brixton® 3770 (RJE) Client (equivalent to SunLink SNA3770/RJE) provides software emulation of an IBM® 3770 Remote Job Entry (RJE) batch workstation. 5250 Open Client - The Brixton 5250 Open Client emulates the full functionality of the 5250 terminal and 3812 printer, including support for TN5250, enabling interactive access to IBM® AS/400, S/36 and S/38 midrange host systems.
